We believe that great food and healthful ingredients are not mutually exclusive of each other. We buy organic produce from local farmers and seafood from the commercial fishing harbor right outside our restaurant. We feature all natural products - steering clear of preservatives and antibiotics. Whole grains and whole foods are used in the preparation of our menu - which our chefs write twice daily, based on what's fresh, available and delicious. Fresh. Local. Organic. Taste the difference.

Chef Travis was born and raised in Arlington, VA. He earned a degree in economics at the College of Charleston, in Charleston, SC - which has come to be known as the "new food capital of the south." After college, Travis pursued restaurant work in this culinary destination, and his future began to form. In 2000, he opened the Shark Restaurant (46th Street, Ocean City, MD) with his family. From the start, his passion for southern flavors was evident in his cooking. In 2008, The Shark relocated to West Ocean City, on the commercial fishing harbor. This location provided Chef Travis with the unique opportunity to meet the local fisherman, and a new culinary path unfolded for him... offering an education in local sourcing and seasonal ingredients. Chef Travis developed a skill for letting available food write his menu, rather than taking the traditional approach of writing a menu, then sourcing food. His confidence with creation grew, and he built a talented team of culinary professionals who share his passion for great food made with real ingredients. His education continues every day - through relationships with local fisherman, farmers, cheese makers and regional cattle farmers. Through the ongoing evolution of his culinary career, his commitment remains consistent - to honor real food with real cooking.

We work very hard to offer a reserved dinner service as an amenity to our guests, for whom we are very thankful. In an effort to deliver the best service to all of our dining guests, we ask that you please be mindful of the following:
Please plan for extra traffic on the roads on weekends all year round and every evening during the summer. Please give yourself plenty of driving time so you can get here as stress free as possible. Please remind all members of your party to give plenty of driving time as well.
We must be mindful of all parties who have reserved with us, so while we do our best to work with our guests who are running behind, we cannot guarantee immediate seating for late arrivals. We will absolutely do our best to make adjustments and to seat you as quickly as we can once your full party has arrived.
